queen beatrix opens exhibition in oranienbaum
her majesty the queen of the netherlands will open te exhibition ‘dutch design - house of orange’ together with the federal president of germany, christian wulff, on the 25th of april in oranienbaum palace.
the exhibition opening will also see the opening of the newly restored parts of the palace, which is located in the area of saksen-anhalt. (…) henriette catharina of
anhalt-dessau, princess of orange-nassau, received the estate in 1660 from her husband - which she named after her origins - and had the palace built by a dutch architect.
