the dutch pavilion during the salone del mobile in milan is situated in the palazzo Francesco turati. the palace was built between 1873 and 1876 commissioned by count Francesco turati, a respected cotton trader. architect enrico combi, registered with accademia di belle arti di brera, designed and built the wondrously beautiful neo-renaissance palace, right at the heart of the city centre, in walking distance of the dom. the perfectly restored historic spaces of the palazzo francesco turati marble doors and gold lustre ornaments, wall coverings in velvet and silk and the beautifully hand carved boiseries. the magnificent Italian craft.
